Joseph Thornton, a travelling confectioner, opened a sweet shop in Sheffield, which he asked his son, Norman, to run for him… little did he know how popular Thorntons would become.

Thorntons have been making chocolate since the 1920’s. Taking inspiration from their travels and drawing on all of their experience and knowledge, they work tirelessly experimenting with different flavours and textures to ensure that every bite of Thorntons is as pleasurable as the last.
